Terms of Service

1. Agreement to these terms

By creating an account or using Your Astrologist (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract.

2. The Service

The Service provides astrology tools, including birth charts, transits, horoscopes, compatibility readings, Ask Your Chart and downloadable reports. Planet positions are calculated by an astronomy engine; the interpretations are written from astrological tradition and may be assisted by AI. Features and limits differ between the Free and Premium plans, as shown on the Pricing page. We may improve, change or retire features over time.

3. Astrology disclaimer

Astrology is provided for entertainment, reflection and personal exploration. Astrological interpretations are not scientific predictions and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical, legal or financial advice.

Astrology does not diagnose or treat medical conditions, and is not legal, financial, psychological or any other professional advice. Do not make important decisions about your health, money, relationships or safety based solely on the Service. Readings are general in nature and results are not guaranteed. If you are in crisis or need medical help, contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.

4. Your account

• Provide accurate information and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• Verify your email address to unlock all features. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
• One person, one account. Do not share or sell access.
• You may delete your account at any time from Settings.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• break the law or infringe anyone’s rights;
• enter another person’s details to harass, stalk or deceive them;
• attempt to access accounts, systems or data you are not authorised to use, or probe or disrupt the Service;
• scrape, copy or resell the Service or its content, or use automated means to bypass limits or rate controls;
• submit malicious code, spam or content that is unlawful, abusive or harmful.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.

6. Premium subscriptions and payments

• Premium is a paid subscription that renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
• Payments are handled by our payment provider, Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record. Prices, applicable taxes and the payment terms are shown at checkout.
• Premium access begins after your payment is confirmed and lasts for the paid period.
• You can cancel at any time from Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you keep Premium access until then.
• Refunds are handled in line with Paddle’s buyer terms and applicable consumer law. To request one, contact us.
• We may change prices with advance notice; a change applies from your next renewal.

7. Your content and our content

You keep ownership of the information you provide. You give us a limited licence to process it solely to operate and improve the Service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

The Service, including its design, software, text, graphics and the readings we generate, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service and to keep your own readings and reports for personal use. You may not use them commercially without our written permission.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service reliable but do not guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may carry out maintenance, and we may update these terms; for material changes we will notify you in advance by email or in the app. Continuing to use the Service after the changes take effect means you accept them.

9. Warranties and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of astrological interpretations.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, nor does it affect your statutory consumer rights.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service and its users. On termination, the sections that by their nature should continue to apply (including ownership, disclaimers and liability) will survive.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we are established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim in your own country. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve any issue informally.
